This monograph was a project conceived by two distinguished art historians, Our good friends Fr. Bobby Perez II, OSB, and Toti Villalon, and the equally distinguished writer and painter, Ding Roces, who also played a prominent part in FEU’s history. The volume reveals to us some of the treasures that we have perhaps taken for granted and points us towards other treasures that still need to be fully unearthed.
The contributors have taken a first step towards documenting and defining the role of FEU in the country’s cultural history. Their efforts also help to move us towards an understanding of the spirit and the soul that once infused and nourished this educational institution, a spirit and a soul that deserve to be revived and reinvigorated.
