In the form of strong, beautiful women and imposing men, they playfully interact with the hardworking protagonist, Oke, and send him on his way home. In a Rip Van Winkle-like twist, he finds he is now in the future. Having been unexpectedly given immortal life, he is believed to have become the guardian of the mountains.
The story is appropriate reading educational for young kids ages 9 to 12.
