Dear New Day… In the last four decades or so, I have collected a few dozen Pilipino poems of my own that I thought might be of some use to students and enthusiasts or perhaps even educators in Philippine literature. I also happen to be a musician and so have set these works into songs, some of which have turned out to be “popular” to some limited extent. I just thought that maybe on their own merit as “poems” they might be of some literary value, enough for a publisher to consider putting together a book on “poetry in songs” sans the songs?
