Now on its fourth edition, the Filway’s Philippine Almanac continues to document the vibrant Filipino spirit so evident in the wealth of materials on Philippine history and culture. First published in 1991, its format has been revised to accommodate new information and enrich the original text.
The almanac consists of fourteen sections, the first twelve corresponding to a calendar month. Each of these twelve sections has a log of significant events; features on a major product, industry or city; expanded write-ups on events and personalities; and descriptions of festivities and rituals observed during the month. The last two sections contain reprints of important documents on the Philippine independence and profiles of the country’s seventeen regions.
