About the Artwork

Mahiwagang Mundo by Rodel Tapaya invites viewers into a fantastical dreamscape where reality and imagination merge. A sleeping child, tucked beneath a sky-blue blanket, appears to drift through a celestial world of stars, clouds, and moons. Tapaya’s use of vibrant colors, whimsical imagery, and symbolic elements evokes a sense of wonder, innocence, and the boundless nature of dreams. This artwork is included in the children’s book illustrated by Tapaya titled “Ang Batang Maraming Bawal,” which tells the story of Romeo the Day Dreamer, a sickly child who has the ability to recreate life through his dreams.
