About the Artist:
Ioni Mendoza Born on 18 Aug in Manila, Philippines. Youngest of six children to parents Jose Mendoza and Erlinda Mendoza. Graduated AB Behavioral Science, Cum Laude and Master in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude both from University of Santo Tomas. Late bloomer in arts. In 2010, enrolled at Yuchengco Museum’s ā€˜Shui Mo’, traditional Chinese watercolor classes under Prof. Arsenia Lim, a highly regarded Taiwanese Shui Mo artist. Explored western art under the tutelage of known Tanay artists starting in 2011 under Adler Llagas for more than two years at ECCA Gallery and continued withĀ  Brando Bati after.

Dream

Ioni’s dream is to stage an international exhibition promoting the cause of corneal transplant. She is an organ recipient herself who undergone a successful surgery in 2004. For her, painting is ā€œa gift of seeing the world under a borderless lens.ā€
