This exhibition traces the unfolding practice of Marco Santos through works shaped by reflection, experimentation, and continuous transformation.
Structured in chapters, the exhibition moves with a deliberate rhythm—each body of work revealing different ways of approaching form, absence, emotion, and expression. Together, these chapters reflect an evolving relationship between artist and medium: shaped by arrival and pursuit.
At its center is the understanding that art is not static. It grows through revision, through risk, through attention, and through time.
These works do not attempt to define a finished identity, but instead capture the ongoing act of becoming through art itself.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Marco Yuchengco Santos (b. 1969), also known as MYSAN, is a self-taught artist whose torched works push the boundaries of medium and experimentation. An engineer by degree and businessman in practice, Marco worked as an entrepreneur for almost 30 years before he found his passion for creating art at the age of 53. Inspiration struck during the pandemic when he began experimenting with old gin bottles, paint, and a blowtorch. Marco has since expanded his art practice to wood and acrylic, maintaining that the medium is what informs his creative process.
Art–In–Progress is on view at the 3F Bridgeway Gallery of the Yuchengco Museum. Museum hours are from 10AM–6PM, Monday to Saturday.
